UTD Maharlika takes its name from the Tagalog word referring to the noble warrior class of the pre-colonial Philippines—a symbol of confidence, strength, and resilience. Since 2002, UTD FSA's modern dance team has brought that spirit to life through hip-hop and a wide range of contemporary dance styles. Each semester, members spend months training, refining choreography, and pushing each other to prepare for performances at Isang Mahal and GoodPhil alongside Filipino Student Associations from across Texas. Beyond the stage, Maharlika is a place to grow as a dancer, challenge yourself, and become part of a team that's built on trust, dedication, and shared ambition.
